This notice explains what Shazam Carpets & Floors does with the details you share when you book a quote or contact us. We keep it simple: we only use your details to reply to you and arrange your visit.
Who we are
Shazam Carpets & Floors is a carpet and flooring company based at 57 Hamilton Ave, Ilford IG6 1AD. We are responsible for the personal details you give us (the "data controller").

What we collect
When you book a free quote, we collect your name, phone number, email address and the address for the visit: house number and street, any flat or apartment number, town and postcode.
If you tap “Use my current location”, we also collect the location your phone shares, so our fitter can find your property. This is optional.
We also collect what you tell us about the job: the services and rooms you're interested in, your property type, colour preferences, notes, and the day and time window you'd prefer for a visit.
We don't use tracking cookies or advertising tools on this website. If you choose to load the map, Google Maps may set its own cookies.
Why we use it
We use your details to reply to your enquiry, arrange and carry out your home visit, give you a quote and, if you go ahead, fit your floor.
Our lawful basis is that you've asked us to do this (taking steps before entering into a contract), and your consent, which you give with the tick box on the form.
We never sell your details or use them for marketing.
Who handles it
Requests you send on this website are saved in our booking system, which is hosted by Heroku (Salesforce). If you send your request on WhatsApp instead, WhatsApp delivers it to us. These services process your details only to store or deliver your request.
If you tap “Use my current location”, your browser sends your location to OpenStreetMap and postcodes.io to look up your address. They receive your location only, not your name or contact details.
We don't share your details with anyone else, unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
If you don't go ahead with a quote, we delete your details within 12 months.
If we fit a floor for you, we keep your details and job records for up to 6 years, for warranties, aftercare and our accounts.
Your rights
You can ask to see the details we hold about you, ask us to correct them, or ask us to delete them at any time. Just call or message us and we'll deal with it promptly.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
